So glad I decided to practice first (and didn’t use my one tiny little piece of Tarot fabric for this!!)
Made some leggings from this pattern (by Tabitha Few on Flickr) and the gorgeous black shiny sparkly fabric that my MiL gave me ( like 12 yards of it, lol, she suggested I use it for my reading table ^_^)
Please ignore the bad stitching, or -better yet- lets pretend Frankie made these in Home Ick!
So which one (do y’all think) for Leotas Capelet/shawl? I’m thinking the gold will contrast her skin… I thought the purple would look better… but not with the card prints. Maybe if I make her shoes/lipstick matching? After all, her shoes will have amethysts on them
These are all available thru Charmcitycurios Spoonflower- they have different sizes, too!)
This is a Jointed Natural Torso designed to be compatible with Monster High CAMs by Mattel. This torso is the same length as the standard torso but a similar heft to the Big Sister torso. She’s curvy and has defined nipples and pubic area. You may have difficulty dressing her in non-stretchy MH clothing but some other doll line’s outfits fit nicely to her curves. http://www.plastic-curves.com/fashion-doll-scale/mh-body-parts/jointed-doll-torso.html
Doesn’t seem like much, but here’s a progress report. Have had a headache since getting home /:( still have a ways to go with the hair and I’m figuring out a hat… but the music charm was ordered, the bracelets are painted, I may have some boots, and have Spectras DDG chains to fashion into a belt. :) Stuck on the studded bracelet but *shrugs* I will McGuyver something.
So my red pliers weren’t needle-nosed enough, but luckily I still have one of these guys that my mom snagged from the hospital (she does that).
Spectras hair is blessedly free of glue and its pretty easy going. Lagoona’s is just- FULL and gonna be a nightmare. The other three (DT Ghoulia, Scaris Abbey and DC Operetta) seem to be glue free, thank heavens.
MlleLoupette- pick one! I’ll ship it up to ya! lol
Just like you would a persons hair , got to get it wet. Its crazy but the best way to keep it even is to put a toilet paper roll over the head and scoot it to the length you want , then cut the hair that stick out the bottom. Crazy and look silly but works great! Also holds the hair straight while its drying!
Reblogging for the advice ^^
I tried cutting the bangs of a doll that someone rerooted for me. Fail-ure u_u
She looks like a cross between Helen Bonham Carter as Bellatrix and Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeny Todd.
